Abstract

Human Quality and Time beyond 65 years: new perspectives with Narrative Medicine

Through experiential laboratories of medical humanities - with the use of fairy tales, literature, painting, photography, sculpture, music, songs, opera librettos, mime and motor game - enhanced by the imaginary breathing GENREN® develops in the person the awareness of their deep identity and essential human qualities. In this way, the value and sense of one's own existence emerge, one's strength of mind, fear of nothing, generosity, solidarity, affection and self-care. Some knots of pain and loneliness melt away, to lighten the heart before the thought of death. And they improve communication with caregivers and relatives, the appropriateness of care, the therapeutic alliance.
